Military Dog from Vietnam

On this Christmas Day remember the people and dogs that are serving our country all around the world. This photo is from the Vietnam Memorial on the trail where “the girls” (Lilly, Atta and Bean) and I took our Christmas walk this morning. Bernie who was obviously loved and still remembered  was one of the devoted and intelligent dogs that served in Vietnam where 281 military dogs were Killed in Action. This memorial garden is a small but powerful reminder of how fortunate we are to live in a country with so many freedoms and opportunities. Freedom is truly NOT free. The cost in lives, physical and emotional injuries and pain is immeasurable. These holidays please take a moment to thank the people and animals that have served, died, been wounded and continue to protect our freedom. Regardless of how you feel about the situations where we have people around the world, they are away from home and family and appreciate a heartfelt and loving Happy Holidays!

Welcome to the VetResults Blog!

My name is Pamela Stevenson and I am the owner of VetResults, a consulting firm for veterinarians and their practices. As long as I can remember, my passion involved improving the lives of animals and those that surround and love them. This is evident in my long-term commitment to veterinary medicine starting as a veterinary assistant in 1981 and taking on various positions such as hospital management, operational consulting and association management since then. Now, as a consultant, I positively affect thousands of pets and peoples’ lives through my clients practice success. Over the years, my activities have varied but never wavered in the intention of enriching the profession and those it serves.

My experience is not only as a paid employee but also as a volunteer working to enrich the veterinary and local community; I co-founded the Carolina Veterinary Managers Association (CVMA) in 1994 to benefit area practice managers. When I have time I enjoy volunteering in the local community as an advocate for ending homelessness and curing Multiple Sclerosis (MS) through organizations such as Housing for New Hope, Habitat for Humanity the Durham Rescue Mission and the Eastern North Carolina Multiple Sclerosis Society. My volunteer work is an invaluable source for self-renewal and grounding. These professional and personal commitments leave little time for hobbies but I do find time for cycling, swimming and jogging.
